Temple Run: Brave

As many of you will be aware, at the back end of last year Imangi brought us one of the most downloaded and most popular apps to download across all three Apple devices, Temple Run. Temple Run was based around your character running for it's life to stay away from the monsters while jumping, sliding and moving side to side to collect coins and avoid obstacles.

Playable On
iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPod Touch 3rd and 4th Gen, All iPads.

Now they are back and this time they have teamed up with Walt Disney in order to bring you Temple Run: Brave, based upon Disney's new film Brave. Now you play as Merida, the lead character in the new Disney and Pixar film. The same controls are implemented as previously, but with a whole new environment and with an all new archery challenge, where you are to tap on the targets as you are running past in order to gain extra coins and therefore increase your score.

Reasons to Buy
This new version of temple run brings a new experience to old and new temple run players with brand new and exciting graphics as well as new scenery and character. There is also a brand new archery challenge that will appear randomly throughout the game. For those that were getting bored of the original Temple Run after hours of playing it, this version should re-addict you to the game. Another reason to but is that you start off with 2500 coins, something that you didn't get with the original game. Finally, the game cannot be completed, meaning that you can have unlimited hours of fun.

Reasons Not to Buy
Although this version brings the fun back to the Temple Run, this is now a paid app which can put people off purchasing when there isn't too many differences with each version of the game. This version also runs at a lower frame rate than the original and when playing, you can certainly see and feel the difference.

Price
Unlike the first Temple Run, this edition is now a paid app, available for 69p/$.99 on the app store for all devices. Given the current apps produced seperately by Imangi and Disney, I believe that it was Disney's idea to make this a paid app as that is what they have done with similar titles like Where's My Water, where as Imangi have gone done the free app road with apps like Harbor Master. In my opinion though, I feel that the app is fully worth the price and that if you haven't already done so, you should purchase this app for your device.

Rating
I give this app a rating of four stars out of five. I have come to this decision due to a few bugs that are still around on the app such as slight glitches and that the game center intergration is not yet working.Once these are all sorted out and the app runs smootly, I will make this a 5 star app.

Summary
An interesting sequel to a must have game.
