Flick Kick Football

As you can probably guess from the name of the app, Flick Kick Football is an app that revolves flicking a football into the net using your finger on your iOS device. Developed by PikPok, whose archive of applications for iOS devices are based around flicking a ball, you know what sort of quality of game you are going to get if you have played any of their other apps. There are Tottenham and Chelsea versions of this app along with a rugby version for all you rugby fans out there.

Playable on
iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch running iOS 3.1.3 or later
Download from iTunes Here

The app itself has several modes to choose from, Bullseye, Arcade, Practise, Skillshot and Time Attack. Each has its own objectives within the game and helps to mix the game up and allow you to have a lot of fun within reaching any sort of boredom. Having tried out all the modes, my personal favourite is arcade which seems to be the main mode to play. The idea of this mode is to score by placing the ball around various defenders and a moving goalkeeper in some cases. You are aiming to get as high score as possible. Also if you score a goal it a hard area to score such as inside the side netting or post and in, then you are sometimes awarded an extra life in case you hit a defender or miss completely. You can have up to three extra lives. I find this mode very fun and addictive and one that I would recommend.

Reasons to Download
The main reason to download this app is that it is free, so if it is not your cup of tea then you haven't wasted any money, just the couple of minutes it took you to download it. Another reason is that it is super addictive which is what makes great apps on the app store. In particularly, football fans will love this, but even those who aren't big fans of the sport should still enjoy the experience that this app brings. Also this app is Game Center and Openfeint supported which is always another reason to download and see how you rank up against your friends.

Reasons Not to Download
Although this app is addictive, I have found that I only really play the arcade mode as the others aren't as good which is a shame and also can make the arcade mode quite repetitive which can put you off it sometimes. Also as this is based around football, I would say that it isn't for everyone but it is worth downloading to see for yourself.

Rating
As this app has impress me and I feel that you will soon be addicted to it once downloaded, I am going to award it four stars out of five.

Summary
A fun and exciting new app to the app store.
