Bejeweled HD

Introduced back in 2001, Bejeweled has become a world wide phenomenon, with more than 75 million copies of the originals being sold and more than 150 million downloads. Developed by PopCap, the world has seen this incredible game, expand to a wide variety of platforms such as PC, Mac, Web Browsers, Xbox, Mobile, and more. PopCap aren't just a one hit wonder though. They have also created some other popular titles such as Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle. Now after introducing Bejeweled Blitz to iOS devices comes the full versions of the original games.

Playable On
Bejeweled- iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad running iOS 3.1 or later
Bejeweled HD- iPad Only

With what can be described as a incredible revamp of the original game, PopCap have really topped all expectations on the outcome of this game. With stunning graphics (particularly on the HD version for iPad), users should be truly amazed with the experience that they will have when playing this app. With 5 game modes (Classic, Butterflies, Diamond Mine, Zen and Blitz) users will be able to spend countless hours playing this app without boredom in sight. With great leader boards, badges and great sound effects, gamers familiar with Bejeweled and those new to it, are both sure to be amazed and are likely to become highly addicted, similar to how I become addicted while writing this review.

Reasons to Buy
The graphics are stunning, the sound effects are great. It is a truly mesmerizing experience of the original game. You get your moneys worth with this app. It is Game Center supported which is always a nice added feature.

Reasons Not to Buy
Although it is five game modes, the Blitz game mode is already free, and when you click it on this version, it will take you to the other app or ask you to download it, which is a bit of a catch. Those of you who bought the original, may feel that they should have to pay for a new version of the same game considering you paid for the original. The HD version isn't the cheapest paid app, which may put some people off purchasing, though the iPhone version is at a good price.

Price
Bejeweled- 69p/$.99, which I feel is throughly worth the money especially since it soon becomes addictive and you will struggle to put you device down.
Bejeweled HD- £1.49/$2.99, which some users may feel is a little steep, but when you actually come to play this game, you will soon realise that it is definitely worth the money.

Rating
Due to the incredible graphics and it's phenomenal gaming experience, I am going to give Bejeweled and Bejeweled HD five stars out of five.

Summary
A fun and an addictive app that is great for all ages.
