Angry Birds Space

Without a doubt, the biggest success story since the existence of the app store, Angry Birds has taken the universe by storm. Such a simple concept that has been developed and turned into a worldwide hit. From business men to prime ministers, children to teachers, this is the one game in this current day that everyone seems to have on their devices. Although it isn't to everyone's taste the franchise of Angry Birds has grown from just one tiny app on the app store, to several apps on many devices as well as a huge range of merchandise including, cuddly toys, to iPhone cases, to speakers.
No one expected this idea to be taken so far and into the homes of so many worldwide. Developed by Rovio, Angry Birds now has 4 versions of the game available on the app store, the Original, Seasons, Rio and now Space. It isn't just available on the app store though, the original version has gone much further, with versions for the 3DS and Wii U recently being announced. Early in May of this year (2012), Angry Birds passed its 1 billionth download. Considering that Apples app store has had just over 30 billion downloads, this is such a huge success considering other fantastic apps available out there.

Being the fourth version of the well known franchise, Rovio knew that they would have to step it up this time in order to impress the Angry Birds community and to develop it further. Their way of doing this is by introducing the new gravity feature which will affect the way that the birds travel. The range at which the gravity works is indicated by the large circles displayed around each planet, as you can see in the image adjacent. With other new features such as TNT, asteroids and new superpowers, this version of Angry Birds could be the best one yet. These features has created more life in the Angry Birds series and have wiped boredom right out of the collection.

Reasons to Buy
With respectable prices for both versions, 69p/$.99 for the normal version and £1.99/$2.99 for the HD version, you should be pretty pleased with what you are getting for your money with there being 60 levels at launch with more available via free updates and extra in-app purchases. You are also getting good value with the fun and experience that you will get when playing this version of Angry Birds. With rich graphics as well, you are are sure to not be disappointed.

Reasons Not to Buy
Although there is new features to this version of the game, some users may face boredom being stuck with this same simple concept and may feel that an even bigger idea needs to be brought into the concept to acknowledge all of those dedicated fans. Don't get me wrong, this is not for everyone. My advice would be to download the lite version and see for yourself what the game en tales. That way you will know whether you feel it is worth the money.

Rating
With new features and new ideas for the levels, I feel that Angry Birds Space has taken a turn in the right direction and that it's fans will certainly be pleased with the outcome of the game. Due to this and it's rich high quality graphics and animations, I am going to award Angry Birds Space five out of five stars.

Summary
A great app that will please many fans.
