DancePad is new to the App Store and is brought to us by Jennifer Lopez and Moonshark inc. J-Lo is known worldwide for being a pop sensation. It is Moonsharks first app on the App Store. The idea of DancePad is similar to the likes of Tap Tap Revenge and Rock Band, in the sense that you have to tap the area that is being shown on the screen while music is playing to the beat.
Playable On

Although it is similar to various music games on the App Store, DancePad has quite a few different features as well, such as the animations that appear on screen when you are dancing with your fingers to the track. Although this game is free, it only comes with 20 free levels with it. An expansion pack purchase is required in order to extend the game further. After each song you will be scored out of three stars, the stars will then be turned into points which will be used to level up on.

The game is very simple to get the hang of and has very smooth controls, which are always essential needs to make a great app. The visuals on the app are very bright and clear with pink and blue being the main colours used which stand out a lot. This app is Game Center supported with both leaderboards and achievements which is always a nice feature to have.

One thing that isn't mentioned in the description of the app is that the songs are limited to 30 seconds which can make it very boring. After playing several songs on this app I found it to be very repetitive which can really put you off playing it. Having read several reviews on the app store many users are saying the same thing regarding being bored very soon after starting playing. Despite these reviews DancePad has managed to get into the top 10 iPad apps as well as being the number one music game for iPad.

Summary
An average app that needs some new features in order to gain more users.
